Well, the east coast tends to be like this-not that I'm implying there aren't DEA raids elsewhere, I mean shit they can happen in Canada can't they?- but it seems that Florida, Boston, NYC, most take the brunt of this beating.

Atanyrate, it's amazing how they're managing to demonize this guy, and yet we haven't seen one official statement from him. All we have seen is a picture of him, standing around, revealing tattoos and large arms.

We'll know more once we find out exactly how legitimate this 'money laundering' tip is.

They'll use that against him in the case, I'm sure. They can get away with revealing slight idiosyncracies to obtain a convinction. I'm sure they'll have no trouble doing that anyway, though.

I get the feeling that there are a few picketers outside what is left of the shops.. Unless your weather is as bad as it is here, of course.

 

i met the owner once, i read this earlier, and i was pissed!!! goodtimes IS MY HEADSHOP. i love it. i drive to NH border, and its like right there, salem NH. right off off the highway, its litereally right at the border.... atleast the one i went to.

no sales tax, AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME selection in the salem area shop.... RooR's galore, PHX's, you name it, it was pimp... ARGG... im so fucking pissed!

90% of the problem right there. If they had run it like a legit tobacco shop and just paid their taxes they probably would not have been shut down.

That really sucks but that's what happens when you don't pay Uncle Sam: he takes all your shit.

 

ALL of NH has no sales tax dude, its like a state law, its not just this one particular "tobacco shop"... + no sales tax fucking rocks dude..... saves me some good money.

 

Ok, my bad, I didn't know that.

But they were still being charged with tax evasion and money laundering, so they still weren't paying their taxes. Maybe they weren't skipping out on sales tax but there are plenty of others.

that might be true my friend but because u dont pay state tax does not mean that u are exempt from paying federal tax.

That is where the money laundering comes into play... because these businesses are operating as "non-profit organizations" ... but inorder for that to be true YOU CAN NOT MAKE ANY PROFIT!!! everything has to be sold dollar for dollar and employees wages have to come from directly out of the owners pocket or another source... it can not come from capital made from business...

thats why 90% of the clubs that got raided out here did... because they were a non profit organization making a profit.

sucks but if ur gunna do something illegal under the eyes of the federal u should atleast stick to the other guidlines so that u do not appear on the radar.
