Good Spots to live in America, surround by forests/trees?

  1. Have you given Maryland any consideration?

Maryland's median income is the highest in the nation, its unemployment rate better than the current U.S. average and it seems very close to legalizing medical cannabis.

  2. Many many people on this forum have complained about Maryland, I have thought about it but because of the complaints, I doubt I will even visit. Apparently the popo rape you if you get caught with weed.

  3. Mt. Hood Corridor! I live like 5 minutes from this viewpoint!

  4. Wow. Thats so beautiful. The 4th picture down. I wish I owned that house.

Mt hoods is pretty faraway from Portland, what do you do for a job?

  5. I'm a full time student at the moment, but engineering and infotech careers seem to be common. Healthcare is also common now considering all of our baby boomers are going senile. I'm going for law. :smoke:

I recommend the country more than Portland. We're only about 45 minutes out and only go when we need to, but otherwise everything you'd pretty much ever need is in Gresham and it's much more peaceful the closer to Mt. Hood you get.

  6. How do you pay for schooling though? Parents?

And its everyone chilled with weed, since I'm moving there it will take like 5 years for me to get my med card so can I just like ask pretty much anyone who looks like a stoner?

  7. Neither of my parents work. One is on disability and the other on welfare applying for disability, so I get to go to school courtesy of the Pell Grant and my fine fellow citizens who pay their taxes. My grandparents also saved my a little less than $10,000 to cover what FAFSA doesn't pay for when I move on to a 4 year uni. (I'm at community college right now.)

Weed is still illegal and many employers give UAs, but it's mosly just for show and fake pee is as easy as stopping by the local headshop. I've never tried just asking on the streets in Portland, but public transpo would probably be the easiest place to find someone. Also, why would it take you 5 years to get your card?

  8. I'm Australian, I need to come a permanent resident to get it?

  9. I doubt it... You get a state liscense and go get your card, pretty simple.

I live in washington amd was visiting nor cal last fall. A girl with us got her cali card just by goin in lol.

  10. Nope, you just need a driver's license and documentation of your qualifying medical condition.

  11. HAH. Now I don't give a shit where I live.

I been looking a bit on seattle. Apparently its full of "wack" people who don't care what you look like. I don't think I would fit in a small town, I have stretched ears and a full sleeve tattoo :D

  12. Oh my god, you were made for Sandy, Oregon. You'll fit in fine, there's a whole subculture of stoners who gauge their ears and get tattoos.

Is there a decent stray cat population?

  14. Hahaha no I'm not the stereotype that just sit around and smoke all day and say "mannnnn". I got Straight A's all the way through school, I had 10mm stretched ears and my full sleeve since grade 11. I just did it because I thought it looked good, not just to be "indie" "hipster" or all that new age bull shit

  15. Which is exactly how the people around here are. They're like the stoners who are all into nature and stuff, but are otherwise normal intelligent Oregonians.

  16. I saw the topic title and thought of longboarding lol. I can't think of any places but thought I'd share that =\

  17. Black Hills of South Dakota would be perfect if your looking for hills or small mountains. The scenery is unforgettable.

  18. Sounding really good, looking on google maps. Houses looks pretty stereotypical all american home, which is what I want, so sick :smoke::smoke::smoke:

  19. Medical state only.
