Couple of weeks from harvest on my first grow using Mirical gro soil and it was HELL!!! Just wordering if any one knows a good mix for soilless media I can get from home depot or lowes.
I use this. I add a little dolomite lime and a good amount of perlite. Grower's Gold 1.5 cu. ft. Indoor Growing Mix 1312300 1.50 CF at The Home Depot
I see people saying 50% coco 50% perlite but the mix already has some perlite in it. I don't measure things out really - I probably try to have a 65/35 mix, the 65 being coco/peat and the 35 being perlite You could do more or less, really, it will do fine for ya. When I do transplanting and what not, I get one of my 3 gallon buckets and get the coco/perlite mix and fill the bucket up about 2/3 of the way. I throw probably about half cup. Someone else could be better to respond on the lime issue though.... I really kind of wing it.
go organic organic soil has no fert in it so it will be better for ur plants u at least want 20% perlite but more perlite means more oxygen for the root zone
