Hey im starting a grow outdoors and im new at this. Im wondering what is a good soil mix I can make? I have soil, rabbit compost, and peat moss. I also have access to miricle grow rooting nutes and a few other nutes. This should be ok for my first grow right? Also is having accorns in my mix hurt my plant? Is a 5 gallon bucket enough to grow 1 plant? If i stun it will i still get some bud if its like 5 ft? Should i just plant in the ground?
just depends, im to lazy to make my own mix foxfarm sells an outdoor mix that works fucken great its the red bag soil it's 15$ bucks now as for what size pots for best results transplant 3 times start small medium large cuz if u go str8 large your root ball wont be as tight and compact and by the time u flower u will have to transplant and u really dont wanna transplant during flowering when i transplant into the large its like a week before i flower to give it time to come back now if u plant it in the ground that bitch is ganna grow like crazy cuz it has unlimited space for the roots.
soil is very important, sounds like you got good stuff though, that should be fine, i use a mix of horse manure/compost/native soil and have good results..
Vic's Super Soil: 1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft) 8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source 4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source 1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source 3-4 cups dolomite lime -calcium source & pH buffering 4 cups kelp meal. 9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings - Mix thoroughly, moisten, and let sit (uncovered) 1-2 weeks before use.
