G'day, your not going to find "Soil" that is "Bagged" here specifically made for cannibis. All the Bagged gear at Bunnings contains "3 Month's" of Slow Release Fertiliser in it, and that isn't really a problem if your growing outdoors as by the time flowering begins the soil will have "used up" all of it's goodies.

But in saying that, the Season is over just about for outdoor growing. So im assuming you want to grow Indoor's?

Bagged Soil with time realease fert in it isn't a good idea for an indoor grow as your grow period will only be a few month's and the soil will still contain a bit of fertiliser. Most indoor grower's want control over how much fertiliser they want to feed into there grow, especially less use of "Nitrogen" during flowering.

If your going for a "full organic grow" with "organic fertiliser", you will have to go to the garden nursey and buy there organic veggie soil. You cant have an organic soil grow using "chemical" fertiliser as this will kill all the little critter's & microbes in the soil.

As for Soil at Bunnings i use "Scotts" Osmocote Compost, "Richgro" Mushroom Compost, "Scotts" Premium Potting Mix and "Scotts" Seed Raising Soil.

Along with what is pictured below.

I grow Outdoor so i dont worry about the time release fertiliser, but there "isnt" a rule that you "cant" use soil with time release fertiliser in it for indoors. That is up to the grower.

  5. G'day, cheers so much for the useful information helped out a bunch! Thanks for listening the soil you use, n all that I'm real new to growing so helps alot. Also I've heard of something called blood and bone. Is that good for outdoor grows?

  6. Yeah Blood & Bone, Dynamic Lifter is all good for an Organic grow.

Are you planning on growing in the ground or in pot's?

Are you planning on a Chemical grow or Organic?

You can mix both Chemical & Organic but it wont be truly Organic!

  7. Hey mate there is a site organic Gardening solutions here in aus that sells good soils and other things that’s good for growing weed.

  8. Geez "stuff" that $100 for a 25 liter bag???
Better paying $80 for a cube of soil & mixing in your own amendments.

    ‘SuperSoil’ Compost Mix
    Regular price$100

Our ‘SuperSoil’ Compost Mix is a modified version of the popular SubCool recipe. It is ideal for lining the bottom half (½) of the pot, and using regular potting mix for the remaining volume of the pot. The idea behind 'SuperSoil' is that in mimicking the richness and diversity of a well-established rhizosphere you should never have to adjust the pH or deal with nutrient imbalances.

'SuperSoil' has been made to provide more than enough nutrients for your crop, so that it can be grown entirely with (tap) water. Through the use of nutrient dense amendments like Guano, Blood 'n' Bone and Dolomite, we are able to provide enough nutrients for your plants needs in just the bottom half of the pot!

Note: 'SuperSoil' is a type of ‘Hot’ compost, meaning that you should never allow a plant’s roots to be touching 'SuperSoil' when transplanting.

Sold per bag, at approx. 25 litres per bag.

So for an outside grow just use the Slow Release bagged fertiliser i put up. The fert in that will last approximately 2 to 3 month's depending on variables.
