I have a setup idea that I would like your input on. I will be using the Titan Flow N Grow within a 6x5 x 6x5 tent with 12 pots. I already have a 600W, but am looking at the 1000w to add to the tent area. Do you think this will work? Do you think the girls will be cramped? Will the lights be enough? I was thinking during veg I can use the 600w HPS with all the plants close together on one side, then spread them out and kick on the 1000w when everything is even. Thanks
I run a single 600W in each of my cabs... my cabs are 3x4x7.5 I think the less plants, the more light the better.... how many do you plan on putting in there?

Thanks[/quote] Co2 is a must and with proper training of the plant you can use just the 1000 watt if the h Hood is big enough
I plan on running all 12 sites. The system I will be going with has 4 gallon pots I believe. Titan Controls Flo-N-Gro System I will be buying a cheaper 1000w to start off at. Get It Done *AC* 1000W - Grow Light Package Im not to sure if I have the funds to do Co2, maybe some dry ice? If I use Dry Ice how would it be used? Would it be better to use less plants, or just go SOG? Any good guides out there on how to do SOG? It wasnt my plan, but if needed I wont have much choice. Thanks in advance..

Thanks in advance..[/quote] If you have 6x5 feet of space that's pretty big, I'd try to scrog still i think.... Depends is 6x5 your "permanent size or no? Under a 1000w light, me personally i wouldn't have more than 4 pants but doing this increases veg time, which in turn increases overall time
You can do without Co2. Fresh air ventilation is just as important. Just make sure you have sufficient fresh air coming in and heat being sucked out. Just my .02c. J
The plants will suffocate if the air isnt fresh or.enriched with co2. A 6x4 tent is only 25sq ft... Thats alot of plants for that size area... The co2 would insure your crop
My question now is watt's per square foot. If I have a 6.5x6.5 that's 24 square feet. I will be running 1,600 watts giving me 38 watts per square foot. From what I hear I need about 50 at a minimum. So, do I bring the plants closer together within the footprint, or try and add another light? I have a 1000w and a 600w HPS at the moment. Should I gow with fewer plants? Do I keep the numbers and mash them together? Should I get another 400 W which will boost me up to 47.6 watts per square foot? What is your take guys?
So, would it be better to pack 1600 watts into a 5x5 tent, and only do a 2-3 week veg? I have been reading that as long as you have 50 watts per square foot your plants will grow the best. Its that or grow them in a 6.5 x 6.5 with only 1600 watts That stup will give me about 32 watts per square foot. Thanks
Alot of what is said in grow books.and things are peoples personal preference you should be just fine with the 2 lights
I'd highly suggest using a smaller space, it'll be a lot better in the long run because you'll need less equipment and less lighting to get the same effect... I don't mean to discourage you or anything that's not how I am, Just from my experience in a 4x4 tent, you cannot reach the back plants as easy, and to pack 2 lights in the tent would be a pain in the ass to be honest.... You can with a 600W and a 3x4 with 2 plants pull in upwards of 14oz+
Ok, I changed my idea a bit. I ordered the following 1 Blockbuster reflector (best med sized out right now) Aquamist 1 ( Same system in seamorebuds) Quantim 1000w for only 209 dollars Quantum 1000w Dimmable Ballast | eBay Digilux 1000w HPS (extra red) I have a 6" inline with a nice 16" fan that rotates I have a 4x4 tent, if this system works out I will be using 2x aquamist next setup. Northern Lights #5 with full Foxfarm line What do you guys think about that one?
how about carbon filter or something of the sort for smell?! Look into Organic SIPS..... you buy the granules and make your own soil and only have to water with regular water the whole grow
