Has anyone read -Be Here Now- by Ram Dass? My father recently gave me a copy of it and I find it to be so fascinating. When I read his story I felt so at peace, like everything would be okay, and like I had already been enlightened.
Its about this guy-Richard Alpert, who studied with Timothy Leary and used psychadelics to try to find enlightenment. It talks of his problems..like that when the trip ended there was always the same result-that he couldnt feel as he did when he was on the drugs. So he goes to India and lives with these buddhists for a while and just learns to give up material possessions and finds enlightenment through buddhism. And he then becomes Ram Dass
