Hey GC, I am going to have some seeds arrive soon and I plan on growing indoors. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for a grow kit or if I should just make my own pc grow box. I was looking at AeroGardens on ebay and they seem good considering they go for ~$60 and I just wanted to know if you think they are good for growing Autoflowers (I plan on doing LST on them). If they aren't I might just go build myself a pc growbox since they are pretty cheap to build.
Alright and in terms of lighting for my own I want to use CFL's but am confused on how many watts I need for 1 plant (autoflower) do you know how many I will need? I plan on only using something in the 5000k spectrum since I've read that you don't need to switch the lights during flowering
100 watts or more..actual watts. Read up before you start this journey. The Stickies at the top of the forums give some good advice, google some grow guides and pick up a good book like Cannabis Grow Bible.
Alright thanks I will look into the top and I have read the stickies but for some reason I get confused between incandescent watts and fluorescent. Thanks for the help
Thats why they have 2 ratings on there. Equivalent and actual. Theres nothing to be confused about. Congress has banned incandescents from use in the future. Soon you will not be able to buy any. Manufacture's put a "equivalent" so consumers can understand it. If it says 75w equivalent it means that 24 actual watts CFL equals in brightness to a human eye a 75w incandescent bulb. The other number is the actual watts drawn and all that matters to you.
