First impressions are most important - anybody who approaches you , tell them to sit the fuck back down or there'll be a problem. Otherwise you'll be fucked with the whole time you're in.
Don't be disrespectful to anybody, don't accept anything from anyone, you will be expected to make a huge payback. Keep to yourself as much as possible....if it ever comes to the point of having to fight, do it. If you don't, everybody there will be trying you...

This thread is enough to justify me hating and not drinking alcohol. Also if you're worried about getting it in the ass, dont shower, and dont wipe after shitting.
Like other people have already mentioned, there is a huge difference between a county jail and a fed prison. Most county jails are fine, there are some bad ones, but most of them are fine. Most people in county jails are in there for minor crimes, or are in there waiting for trial. Both types of people USUALLY don't want to cause more problems for themselves while they are waiting for trial/waiting to get out after they do their minor time for minor crimes. Like people have said, just keep your head down. Don't let people push you around, but at the same time don't smart off/be a dick to people either. Just use your common sense. The times i've been locked up in county jail, I was mostly locked up with people who had DUI's, domestic violence cases, minor drug cases. Read, watch a shitload of tv, write letters, eat, get a phone card so you can talk regularly with friends/family, work out, lots of sleeping. The worst thing you'll have to worry about in a county jail is boredom usually. At least from my experience.
