  1. here are the pics of the room/ will only be using the closet. I believe it is a 4x2 the shelf is 5 feet t of the ground can maybe will be removed. I will be doing 2 plants using a 400 hps system. I plan on having a/c on as much as needed to keep temp at 75-80 f. Is it better to keep the fan inide the closet or may i have it outside the door blowing in.

  2. You have a good amount of space. For the fan question, I would put it inside the closet and have it blowing out. Better air circulation that way.

  3. do you own or rent the place? you can always vent to the attic but it depends if you want to make holes in the walls

    Thats pretty much the same setup I have. I run a 400w in a 4w x 2 d x 8 h.

I ended up venting into my attic, and having two intakes (well technically three but two are tied together on the back side) come from under the house connected to my a/c system. It works great now. However, before I added a 6" inline vent fan, them temps couldnt be controlled without leaving the door open. You need a place to pull cool air from, and a place for hot air to go, and if they aren't separate places all you will be doing is heating your cool intake air, which makes your exhaust hotter, and so on goes the vicious circle.

If you own, I would take the shelf out as well. 5' isnt much by the time you figure your light is going to take up a foot of that, then you need 12" at least in between the light and your plants.

Ill get some pics once the little ones wake up from the night shift.

  5. Subbed, have almost the same area to work with and just got my attitude order in. Curious to see set ups.

  6. Ok here we go no attic that is str8 tothe roof. 2) Is it so bad to leave the door open?. Order gets her in a day or so and want everything ready. It really seems like it will be the fan inside i dont mind making a hole in wall or door. If its an ok to leave the door open I dont mind more input pleeeeease.

what about below the closet? You can vent downward as well if you need to. You just need to remember that your intake hole needs to go to a separate area than your exhaust hole. If you don't it will just heat your intake air, and not really do any good.

Unless the room outside that closet is pretty large, your 400w will heat it as well, at least that was my case. Now, you may be able to run the windows unit there and counteract that, but trust me it will get one hell of a work out.

  8. What strain are you growing? Id cover the wall's with mylar or else paint them. If your growing a regular strain when you put them on 12/12 the room should be light proof so if you have an open door make sure the outer room is dark at the same time your plants are in the dark. Dont forget about smell lol. I use a homeade carbon filter.

  9. No joker the room isn't that big just bought that A/C thinking it was gonna fix my problems sigh. I think im just gonna go out and buy a 4x2 tent today. But I still wont have anywhere to vent the hot air you dont think the a/c will fix that? If not, dust the duct hole have to be a circle or can I get it to go under closet door. Really hate this whole exhaust thing. Since it will be a tent cant I leave open with a fan will that help? please answers quick anybody suggestions

  10. The a/c will help it. Best way to tell is to set up the light and turn it on a and go from there. Grab good thermometer. Unless your in a big hurry to start, I would do that before spending money on a tent, just so you know what your dealing with.

  11. okokok did have a themometer but went to hydro store and they suggested this. Buying the tent and having the back of it to the a/c unit with the back flap open he said should def maintain temp i want, and should only need one fan how does this sound inside, does this sound like the right idea?

  12. well I have purchased the darkroom 2 4x4 tent will now be growing 3 plants will check back here once complete setup is finished im so excited.

  13. the dr120 pro it is a great tent if that is what you purchased

  14. ya been researing all day and seems to be the best 1 thats the 1 I got

  15. That's the top of the line the only problem is if you get another tent of a different brand you'll look at it and be like what is this crap lol its happen to me

  18. thx i see, another question is this i see some pics is people ducting the hot air into a cardboard box that appears to just be sitting on the floor isthat what i see or is there more to it, i really dont hae somewhere for the hot air to go

  19. post a like/picture if we are talking about the same thing it might be a box over the fan to quiet it or is a carbon scrubber
