Hey everyone, I just got my medical marijuana card today and have a question about dispensaries. Are there waiting rooms in the dispensaries where non-cardholders can wait in Arizona? Do some have it and do some not? The reason I ask is because my friend and I carpool to work and there is a dispensary on the way home, and I know if he just waited in the car it would look sketchy.

  2. I believe you can't go in there without a card, and I dont think it would look sketchy for him to wait but I could be wrong. I dont live in a medical state afterall, so take my post with a grain of salt. Or a spoonful

  3. There is nothing sketchy about legal activity.

  4. In cali I would sit inside with my friend sometimes and others he would just park and I would wait in his car. It was much better once I got my own card but never had any problems  either way. They know you are sharing the weed if he sits in the room but won't say anything.

  5. It depends on the dispensary policy. I am not sure of the specific laws in Arizona but in Michigan, the dispensaries usually have lounges or waiting rooms (reception areas) that you sit and hang out when you  first walk in. In these areas patients were allowed to have non-cardholding guests with them. When the budtender came to take you back to where they keep the medicine, only the cardholder can go and see what they have and pick out your meds. General rule of thumb though, make your dispensary trips quick and easy, go alone or leave your guests in the car.

  6. I'm in California, but most of the dispensaries have a lounge/waiting area where excess customers and non-carded people can wait.

  8. I've been to a single dispensary in California.  There was no waiting area.  I waited in the car, out of view, while my buddy went inside with his card.
