So guys, I'm going to Amsterdam for the first time on monday, just wondering if you guys have any advice on which coffee shops are the best? We just wanna kick back and chill out, hopefully without being surrounded by too many tourists. Also, any other friendly advice?

when i was there i didnt use no god damn maps, i just walked my ass off, ended up in a coffe shop called "blue sea" or something like that, shit was blue with bubbles on the windows and palm trees and shit, some crazy trance sounding, cool people. good times.

Yeh that's true, I'll be visiting some museums and galleries and other interesting things. Might check out some clubs (i've heard they're pretty good over there.) I will however, aim to do all of it high and (in some cases) drunk.
You might wanna try ''Dampkring'' and ''Bulldog''. Also, there are some shops who will try to sell you amnesia haze or something for like 17 euros a gram. Just turn around and find another one, because theyre just ripping off the tourists.
when i was stationed in germany, i went to amsterdam quite a few times. always a good time! aside from the obvious smoking part of it, there's plenty of great places to see, and cool things to do! check into going on a couple of tours through your hotel. and of course, you have to check out the food!!! one thing i love about traveling, is the new foods you can try. man, i gotta go somewhere!!!!! (crazy sex clubs and beautiful hooks!!!)
Yeh, I was thinking about tours. I'm afraid I might have to give some of the crazier sex clubs a miss as I have a girlfriend, but I might visit the odd strip joint! I haven't been on holiday in 3 years, so I'm certainly looking forward to getting out of the UK!

Go to the art museum stoned.... They have lots of Salvador Dali's Grey Area.... Best off the beaten path coffee shop. Go to Barneys Breakfast bar after a night of partying for an awesome breakfast and buzz. Go to the Marijuana Museum.... Cool shit and you get to sample their grow-room yields through a volcano on your way out. Ann Franks house... If you're into that thing. Sort of an important part of history.
