I've bought 2 already... One was a cheap one. That didn't work out the package. The other one was a little more expensive.. I work from home, so I just turn off the lights when I need to never really needed one... Sent from my 5049W using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You've gone through all the expense and effort to go this far, do the right thing and buy yourself a timer. You'll have to spend less than $10, which is worth the piece of mind. Make sure it's rated for more amps/watts than you're light uses.
I've been using the same hardware store $7 timer to run 1140 watts of lights for the past 3 years, surely you just had bad luck with the ones you bought.
ha,ha got ya beat. Mine came with my first hydrofarm mh/hps back when everything was analog, still worked when I switched to 24/0 autos a few years ago. tick tick tick
