Going out of town, light timer?

  1. Anyone experiment with these? Do they work well? I was looking at some today at walmart when shopping for my grow box....any insights?

  2. Im pretty sure just about everyone uses a timer to control their lighting. Some use fancy ones, others use basic ones, either way, use a timer.

Could you give me some suggestions? I'm going to be running 125~ watts of lights in a micro grow

edit: guess this should be pretty simple haha thanks tho for the input

  4. Just pick up a dual-outlet grounded mechanical timer from walmart or home depot or whatever. With so few watts you will not have any load problems. You can also use the 2nd outlet to time a fan or other piece of equipment if needed.

  5. The Doctor speaks the truth. It's silly to try to run a grow op, at least in 12/12, without a timer.

  6. well about the fan again...should that always be on or like on a five min/five miin timer or something of that sort?

  7. Fans should be running 24/7, you should have one positioned on your light, and one positioned on your plants. But for your CFL setup, I don't think two fans are necessary.

  8. wouldn't it depend on the size mostly tho?

  9. What are you referring to?

  10. sorry was referring to the size of the grow box/room compared to the fan being on 24/7, I plan on running it 24/7 anyway but just saying
