Check out this gods gift seed I germinated about a week ago. Got the seed from a quarter I got from a dispensary and found six seeds all fat and striped. Give me some feed back I've never seen this shit before http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/camtheman6988/image.jpg
Ooooh, maybe a triploid. Instead of having 2 sets of alternating branches per node you will have 3 branches. If that's what it is.
Polyploid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Triploid implies that it has three sets of chromosomes. Sorry to be anal retentive but we must be precise in this kind of talk. Yes, it will have three branches, fortunately that pheno can be passed to the next generation of seed if you where to breed it.
Sweet thanks for the knowledge! Check it out week 3 http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/camtheman6988/image-2.jpg
What is going on with this? I am really interested to see what the deal is. Keep us posted! Did it grow into something decent?
The proper term for that is Whorled Phyllotaxy! (run a search)As long as we are talking about it, we should use the proper terms. Trifoliate is also OK, but it can also refer to a 3 part leaf, as in trifoliate orange. It is NOT a triploid! That term has to do with the number of chromosomes an organism has, as DirtyViperMan pointed out. Although there have been attempts at inducing polyploidy in cannabis. About 2/3 of the trifoliates I've read about were males, but I had a female. You have seen how in normal plants the paired leaves become alternating when the plant's a "teen"? The trifolate trait sort of vanished when she started the alternation of leaves. So as far as I'm concerned, the trait is nice when I'm topping- 3 main shoots instead of 2- but the actual gain in bud wasn't that much. The quality of the smoke was good, but not extraordinary. (Sorry guys, - occupational hazard! My field of employment is in education, and I hate the "stupid stoner" stereotype! So, I try to correct you when I see a bit of mis-information. Even when it is as trivial as this one! lol) Granny
