I think GOD is something like... a job title. Like, CEO or Dept Manager, or something like that. There are a few candidate for this position, such as Alah or Burning Bush or whoever. In some parts of the world, a flee infested monkey holds the title of GOD. Some people think Burning Bush or Alah or whoever is not a very good GOD, so instead of just replacing him with more suitable person, they remove this job altogether. They think since Burning Bush/Alah/or whoever is a lousy GOD, GOD shouldn't exist at all. But no... I think GOD is a necessary position. Somebody must fill that seat. For me, I used to have Mr. Burning Bush in that seat, but now I replaced him with a much better character. Me.
This. I'm an atheist, so I don't think of God as a CEO or whatever, because like yeshli2nuts said, CEOs and Dept managers actually exist. I can see how the belief in God helps some people, which you know, good for them. But when someone acts like God is up there playing Sims with our lives, controlling our outcomes, I have to call BS.
