So as im sure every1 knows by now facebook has taken over alot of peoples lives including my own. I was against it for so long because i knew exactly what would happen, that it would become another thing i absolutaly HAVE to check when i go on the pc. Well let me tell you its impossible to avoid, eventually it will get you. Your only release will be either when something new comes about or when people eventually get bored. It has become the sole reason i turn on the computer at times and is very much a love/hate thing. Why shud i give a flying **** if some randomer i hardly know is making a sandwich or just beat his friend 1-0 at fifa? I think facebook is a great indicator of how much we crave attention and social approval. e.g. Why else would someone add a friend of a friend who they dont know? Does this sound like were on the same page?
So true. I learned during the myspace craze how much of an apathetic, self absorbed, and vain world we are creating on something I used to see as a huge potentiator of human kinds abilities. The internet.
I agree 100 percent, everyday i think about just deleting myne and moving on, yet here i am this mornin creepin on some girls photo albums, lol.
I made my girl delete her shit by making her think of all the dudes fappin to her pics. Lol. It worked. She was tryin to shop for another lady friend for us but it became obvious the net isn't necessary for such endeavors. The chance of attracting that other unwanted attention was much higher. (This was back in the day with myspace when it first launched.)
I deleted my Myspace like 8 months ago, I am not making the mistake of joining one of those sites again. Those of you who are not sure how to go about removing parasitic social networking sites from their life:http://suicidemachine.org/ is here to help.
i hate to say it but i'm on facebook ALL the time. didn't have one until last year and now i check it constantly... and nothing that important is ever happening. i should def be a private detective though, my creepin skillz are at 100 hahah
to true but it is a lifeline, especially in a stoner circle where most of us would rather spend money on bud than phone credit or w/e and always lose or break our phones.
i'd rather not use the internet at all before i use any of those surveillance... er... "social" networks. the intelligence agencies are cumming in their pants because of all those idiots posting their whole life in realtime. (that's why they gave "seed" money to FB et al in the first place)
I deleted it because I never used it, then I realized that I might aswell keep it incase I need to get hold of someone or something... Now that I have my iPhone it's easy to check real fast instead of turning on the computer.
ive got facebook right n i swear down all that ever happens is people putting pictures of me up from social occasions, and theyre never flattering facebook is shit man i never go on it should delete it really
I'm proud to say i never got into facebook or myspace and i never will, shits soo stupid i don't really want the whole world to know my business haha....twitter though i do log on to, but only because i'm big into sports so i follow alot of the writers for my favorite teams to find out all the inside info as soon as they know it because they post it on twitter right away. But i've never tweeted a sentence in my life haha
I like facebook. I dont know what there is about it not to like. People just hating on whats popular i guess. Posting on facebook is just like posting on a message board like GC except that you are actually talking to people you know in real life. Twitter too. Twitter is a great website. I woudlnt use it to follow my friends thats what my facebook is for but I use it to follow/talk to people I normally wouldnt be able to. If you are so addicted to facebook you cant handle not logging on then you have personal issues. Link that shit to your phone and you dont even need to worry about it.
I would delete FB if I didn't move around so much. But since I still have it... I'm curious. How often do guys "stalk" other peoples' facebooks?
