Hey guys, I checked on my ladys this morning and one of them had sprouted and there was one gnat flying around on it, should i be worried? I squashed itt but still.
It happens even with indoor grows. If you get a couple more you more then likely have a fungus gnat problem..which is other then annoying not the worst thing. Get some insecticidal soap from the store...you will see it everyone carries it. Its non toxic dissipates in a day and organic. You can put some sand on your soil as well. The gnats lay eggs in the soil larva hatch squirm around till they become adults. Fly traps work well to to catch the ones flying around.
I put a couple of small bowls of hot water with ultra gain antibacterial dishwashing liquid squirted 5 or 6 times in the water around my plants. . Just change your bowls every week and it takes care of your gnat problem. I do this every grow even if i don"t see any gnats,
