  1. I have a smorgasbord of strains for this grow. I'm cleaning out the seed stash and putting a big dent in the inventory. Initially I'd planned on all autos for a while but had to change gears. So what better alternative than feminized photos.

I may be asking for trouble with all these different strains but I'm okay with it. By the end of all this I should have a nice stash and can then work some auto seed in. So let's get this cranked up.

    4x8
    Adiding 300w
    Szhlux 400w
    Adiding 480w
    Promix HP Myco
    Myco granules
    Jacks Classic 20/20/20
    Jacks Classic Bloom

    So what am I growing?
    Durban Poison...Growers Choice
    2 Cindy99...Growers Choice
    Purple Haze...G13 Labs
    G13 Haze... Barneys
2 Sugar Black Rose... Delicious seeds
    Critical Kush...Barneys
    NL/Skunk...G13 Labs
    Tangie...I49 Seed
    Dispensary Bagseed...
    Cornbread
    If they come up.....
    Simple Wedding Cake S1...Pheno Finder
    Double Black...G13 Labs
    Afghan Skunk...Expert Seeds
    Durban Poison...Growers Choice

The total depends on how many come up. There's 11 total growing and a possible 4 more.

New first for me this grow

Jacks Nutrients...I'm throwing all faith into Jack's for this run. Classic all the way. I'm not checking pH. Just dump, stir, water. I have some Epsom salts and CalMag on standby..lol. A friend sent me enough to last a while so I'm rolling with this. Excited to give it a try but it's going to be hard to not reach for that meter. Trust in the process I guess.

Here they are as of 2/7/2/2024. Some are ahead of others but eventually it'll all even out. These last few have been a bitch to get up n growing. Working with old seed here so it's a gamble with each bean. Oh well, no matter what I'll get there and be ready for flower in mid to late March. I'll get some individual pics up as they grow but for now it's just seedlings and early veg stage.

Hopefully in a few days I'll know how many I'll have to work with. May be flowering up to 15 plants before it's all over. I think I have enough light and space but it will be packed for sure. I'll be flipping to flower as soon as possible with these. I'd like to complete this grow and then shut down for the summer. Crank it all back up in the fall. Running all the equipment and air conditioning is expensive. I'll have enough to keep me happy till fall.

  3. I e had these photo seeds a while. I need to get through them before buying any. I'm think next fall I may grow out some regular seed. I have 9 stains n 85seeds. All from premium seed market seedbank in Oregon. I grew out the Scooby snacks, ww, and blueberry OG a few years back in a greenhouse. Nice genetics.

  4. oy, I've become a bit of a seed connoisseur; I try to stay away from looking at other seeds lol. I feel I'm better off looking at what I currently have ;)

  8. sry wife gave me a massage and I passd out
yes, just dabbling mostly, nothing serious. I will make some more soon. The auto I did like that, I bred that auto with photos got fastbudding and then backcrossed to get my own autos. It doesn't produce as much as the mephistos but I really enjoy it, not just because it was my own creation. Imma prob do some more fem'n soon.

  10. You said you was going to use Jack's.
What is your mixture for it that you are going to use.
For one gallon of water how much
    Base
    Calcium nitrate
    Epsom salts

  11. Right now it's pretty simple. 1/4-1/2tsp per gallon....done. I'm ordering the CN. I've put no CalMag or esalt in the mix yet. Don't want to use the calmag if I can help it. I'll wait for the CN. Not seeing any problems yet. The multi grow seems to love the stuff so far.
Started using it on the autos and fems who are all near the end. The autos are all pretty yellowed up but the bud is forming nice colas. The fems haven't missed a beat.
I'm gonna use the jacks straight up till I see any problems. Some guys use 1/4tsp of veg n bloom mixed. I'll play around with it a little bit I'm trying my best to just put faith in the Jack's. I'll either get a shit storm of problems or a nice easy grow.

I'm even using jacks 1/4 on seedlings with no ill effects. No pH check...tap water, jacks, feed. It's working but things are young in there. We shall see how it goes.

  12. That's interesting, I always thought you had to use the calcium nitrate and Epsom salt for it to work for cannabis.
I have to see how your autos grow with straight jacks.

  13. Just as we speak about it I'm starting to see some leaf yellowing on some of the fems in 1gal pots. I see roots at the base so I'm sure it's time for 5gal pots. They are drying out to fast so I'm sure they'll perk up in a new house.
My next post will answer your curiosity of jacks n autos..lol. It appears I have a infiltrator. At day 30 this supposedly purple Haze photo has become a mystery automatic. It's now being fed the bloom at 1/2tsp gal and I have up potted it to a 3gal pot for the rest of the way. It's just gonna have to finish flowering in 12/12. IMG_20240217_100517560.jpg

  14. I'm still determined to have a dozen plants. So I took a nice clone from the Cornbread. I don't intentionally top a plant very often. It was the tallest and oldest plant in veg at 35days. Hopefully I'll have some roots in a little while. Can't seem to post a pic. What a pain in the ass it is on this site. Only complaint I've got.

Well, I rarely take a top but I did top the cornbread. My goal is 12 plants so if this roots for me I'm good. It's the bent one.

The other clone is a gift from the grow shop. Dude pulled me out back and said pick one. I chose CATFISH. He had it in a cloner and threw it in a small cup. When I got home my hand hit the door and the clones went flying. All the roots had been ripped off..lol. I did a 45 on the stem and scuffed it up a bit. Dipped in hormone stuff and poked it into a cube and put it in a humidity dome. It appears to be doing fine.

So I may end up with a bakers dozen...plus one mystery auto. This is a lot more plants than I'd normally grow but I'm working through old seed and shooting for variety.

  19. @Clearsky so how do I use this calcium nitrate?

  20. There should be a recipe for the Jack's you are running for that base.
But make sure that calcium nitrate is resolved good before adding it to your base because if it isn't it will fall out.
I put my calcium nitrate in a bottle of water over night before adding it that way I know it is resolved.
You would know if it's going to fall out when you put it in before your water will get cloudy and if it does that just dump it out and start over.
I use master blend 3 parts so I mix bloom like this which is different than the veg.
    15-grams MB
    20- grams cal-nit
    11 1/2- grams Epsom salt
I have three bottles I use to put my nutrients in and have them ready to go for my next reservoir fill.
