glycerin caps

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by whiteice15, Oct 13, 2012.

  1. Just pick up four ounces of now vegetable glycerin and will be making capsules with size 00 gletatin. I don't have the place to use a crockpot so I'm going to let it sit out for about 3 months. I read on a thread on here that a 2:1 ratio of grams to ounces of vg will be sufficient. I'll be using trim and abv which I will post measurements later but I am aiming for 12 grams to make up for the low thc content of my ingredient. I will leave it in the mason jar for the period checking on it multiple times a day. Any one have any suggestions before I start?

  3. Well glycerin caps can get a little messy after you cap them so store them in a fridge or freezer preferably. I always suggest coconut oil for caps but as you have already bought supplies you may not want to switch.

  4. Talked with a Dutch nurse at a MMJ shindig. She let her glycerin tinctures go 2 months and she stirred them daily. She gave me a bottle free. It was quite good!

FYI- for the rest of you- Glycerin makes a nice tincture that tastes sweet and "warm" and does NOT sting your mouth. It can provide a way to get cannabinoids without smoking, which is nice for the elderly, the non-smokers and -drinkers, or when you just can't light one up!

  5. Do you know if she used bud or trim etc? Should I let it go longer bc of the low thc even with adding more grams to the 2:1 ratio of g / o?
