My new glow-wand (glass dab tool) was perfectly straight. I torched the end to take a dab through an oil pipe (mortar and pestle style). After getting the glow-wand to glow, I noticed the end of the glow-wand where the heat was applied start to warp/bend due to the glass softening and gravity. Has anyone else seen this happen? Would particles of glass get inhaled off the glow-wand since it is flexible and soft when heated?
you must be using some super hot torch, like not butane, propane? propane has combustion byproducts that you dont want to inhale.
Nope. Butane. I took the wand back to the headshop and they tested all of the wands from that manufacturer...they all started to bend and warp after 10 seconds of butane torching. They gave me a new wand, tested it with heat and it's fine, and said they won't buy that product ever again.
Damn... must of been some either super crap glass or something else. It cool that they did good by you. Peace
