glassblowing 101?

  1. so i have really perfected the art of homemade pieces.... being a master of the diamond tip drill bit, the hot glue gun and the swiss army knife i want to make a step up and learn to blow glass to create works of art and smoking parif. how do i go about this? is there any ameteur set up i can use??? something like i buy just the rods and a torch and i get to just blow it.... like those briar blocks???

    it is A LOT harder than it seems; i was told.

    however, if you do get into the art, be sure to tell us about it because i too an very interested.

  6. well as it happends as i was researching i got a call and i GOT ACCEPTED TO THE SCHOOL OF MY CHOICE!!! I CAN LEARN TO BLOW GLASS THERE AND I CAN DO ALOT OF POTTERY! AND PURSUE MY ART IN AN ENVIORMENT THAT ALLOWS ME TO EXCELL IN ACADEMICS AS WELL!

  8. Im getting into it and i went to a seminar not long ago... classes are about 300 dollor average and the equipment is expensive.
     
  9. search for the melting pot in google.....as in glassblowing not like foreign people haha

    its a really good forum like this only its all about glassblowing......

    hope this helps a bit and yes the shits expensive ive looked into it and it would probably be around 500 bucks to get set up w/o glass......plus glass.....plus classes.....ugh
     
  10. The best thing you could do is find an expert glassblower and try to become an apprentice. I watched all the good glassblowing videos on youtube there pretty cool watching them make bongs
