I have a 1000w MH in my shed with a in a supernova reflector w/ glass shield. I have a small infline fan just sitting ont he top of it venting some heat out of the hood, but isnt taking too much out. I feel like I would be able to get more light and less heat to the plants if i just took the glass out. It seems to me the glass is just getting REALLY HOT due to the light and is putting off EVEN more heat! So what do yall think, glass or no glass?
Definately leave the glass on. It will make all the difference in the world if you have proper ventilation fans. Sounds to me like your vent fan is too small. Try a larger fan with a higher cfm. Good luck!
