Well I don't know if I would call it broken, but when I try to turn it on and off the glass knob keeps turning without turning the metal knob on the inside. Its just sliding off. I have to press it in to get it to work. I looked at the inside of the glass knob and the plastic looks worn off. (It shouldn't be plastic in the first place) That's how it was pretty much since I bought it, but it has just gotten worse and now it's getting very annoying. I don't want to have to buy another knob, I like mine. Anyone have the same problem?
Of course theres probbly some sort of plastic sleeve on the inside as they can't make glass get a good grip on the splines on the temp control Either you need a new knob, or maybe you can even get a DBV knob if it fits and you're on a budget
I'd try putting a layer or two of plastic wrap around the post, the knob may be able to get a better grab on it that way could always use a dab of clear silicone too
gorilla glue. it expands like a bitch. ive used it to repair stripped out strapnuts on guitars etc....
after using gorilla glue i would never be able to take it off, right? I wanna leave that option open in case I want to get a new knob or the glass breaks etc.
