Ive seen many people online heating up the small glass pencil looking items. I understand its supposed to make a cleaner hit ive just never seen it in person or used one. Im also wondering about wands you can plug up? like i said ive seen a few videos but no real stories or useful info. Thanks for any help!
Glass wands, I believe called hot hit wands, are just glass rods that you heat up with a torch then press onto your bowl to combust the herb. Using glass wands ensures that you aren't inhaling any butane from your lighter when you torch your bowl. Herb Irons are soldering irons made specifically for the use of igniting/vaping your green. They require an outlet to plug into and when turned on have a tip (ceramic? I could be wrong) that will heat to either your selected heat, or a predetermined heat. Then you simply press the tip of the iron into your bowl just like you would with a wand. Aqua lab tech has great examples of both. Using google to search for terms such as 'hot hit wand' and 'herb iron' should bring you exactly where you want to be. As far as smoothness and tastiness goes, I don't really have a preference. I wouldn't spend the asking price on a Herb Iron, and don't feel like wasting the propane/butane to heat up a glass wand every hit, when a quick flick of the bic will do just fine.
Heating rods are awesome for dabs even flower. Gives you a true taste of your herb. You can't actually tell its a flower! Plus their only like 10 bucks at your LHS Sent from my LS670 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
