4x6 closet, organic considering bubbleponics, willing to drop 2k on lights would like to look into led or induction. Was thinking like 2x 400w ss's or 2x 420 inda gro. Maybe a hybrid of lights. Would like to stay away from hid as this is a peronal grow and like to keep long tem cost down. needing to yeild atleast 10z/ harvest. Haven't grown in about 6 years now. So a lil out touch any suggestions help. From nutes to soils lights etc.
You're going to grow more bud for less money with HIDs'.It's all about lumens per watt/ PARs'. LEDs' and induction lights are comparable to CFLs' and T5's, and that's why you never see them used to any degree by professionals or serious hobby growers. All you see is bogus claims to sell inferior products to unwitting consumers. A bargain basement 400 HPS will yield quadruple what any arrangement of LED or induction ever could watt per watt. The only advancement in lighting in the last 30 years that could percievably "outshine" HIDs' is Plasma lighting. For the moment the price tag and technology behind them doesn't justify a switch.
Amjiji: take a look at T-5 fluorescent lamps and you might like what you see. They're cheap to run and they burn cool enough that you don't have to worry about frying your plants. Just get a fixture or fixtures big enough to completely cover your grow space. I hope that helps. Hank
Most of the hydroponic growers spending lot of money on grow lighting because of lack of knowledge. Growers have to follow the suggestions and ideas of experts to save money and energy. Now a days, experts are suggesting to use Red Diamond 600 Watt HPS BaddAss Bulb in hydroponics garden.
