What's up GC. Ok so a bit about my setup. I'm using a gutted Ikea bed side table with (8) 2700k, 1600 Lumen CFLs running on two power strips. I have Mylar (technically its a thermal blanket) on the walls for reflection. I also have a 120 CFM fan mounted to the door (which is on the back of the table for stealth purposes) with a light dimmer for speed control and an Ona container for smell control. You know how you read around the forums and they say not to underestimate a good ventilation system? Well they are right. All of them... Especially in a micro grow. This is my second run around at Micro grows. The first time ended about 2 weeks into flower with my crappy fan crapping out. It got up over125 degrees for 2 hours and completely cooked my plant. All because I didn't think through ventilation. Well to be honest, I didn't have one. I had a little fan blowing towards the door. (That I had to take off when the lights were on otherwise it would over heat, which is exactly what happened...)Ok so lesson learned. The hard way I suppose. But I'm not the type to give up that easily. So I ordered a 120cfm fan and mounted it as high on the door as I could, installed a floor (because there was no floor) an inch off the ground, and cut a hole in the back in the floor. That way when I put the door on, it would draw cool air from outside, up the hole in the floor and out the top with all the hot air from my lights. It also creates enough negative pressure to move the leaves and stems like a fan. I also had to light proof the fan while still allowing it to function. I struggled on how to make this happen for a while with different kinds of home made light traps, but was unhappy with the result. I ended up buying a dryer adapter from HD. I painted it black and mounted it on the outside of the door. Its perfect because it slides up and down so I can check the temp without even taking the door off while keeping the fan completely light tight. What I have now is so much better than what I originally started with. It is completely self sufficient. All I need to do is water her.I'm about 2 weeks into flower again and it is going marvelously in my opinion. I have yet to see any signs of nutrient deficiency or stress. I have been doing some pretty heavy LST and she seems to be loving it. I haven't given her any nutes yet, but have been thinking of doing so soon. Any ideas or comments are most definitely welcomed, seen as how you all are the ones who taught me how to do this. :)

Its amazing. I highly recommend it. its a mix of OG kush, cherry kush, and Allen wrench. Super fruity with a strong, long lasting high. how is your grow coming?

  7. much better than my first lol. i am coming up on week 7 of veg and getting ready for the flip. i am super excited for this go around as i feel infinitely smarter and more confident as a grower. the only thing i want to do is buy a few more fans that way i can keep it stealthy. as it stands i have to keep my closet door cracked to maintain my temps but with an extra fan i can keep it closed. i have a fan but am not allowed to use it because the old lady likes a breeze while she sleeps lol.

  8. Lol. Yea I know how it can be tryna convince the wife to let you do your thing. Same here. One question though. What does your temp get up to with your door closed?

just depends on the weather. with the temps being up it can hit 110 within an hour. That's why I am buying more fans lol. I don't mind cracking my door though. Its just open like 5/8 of an inch this keeps my temps between 76-83. but yeah definitely gotta get more fans

  10. Wells that's why I ask. If it gets over 90 with the door closed, all the fan is going to do is blow around hot air. you gotta figure out how to get the hot air out and cool air in while keeping it light tight. I'm no pro or anything, that's just what I picked up from reading around. and from personal experience...

  11. Temps have been my biggest enemy with indoor growing too. It's hard when you're working in a small space and limited $$. Looks like you're off to a good start though. You'll rock whatever you have to work with. :)

  12. Well thank you! Its working now, but only after a round of trial and error.

  13. Looking good man,

Have you run into anymore issues with your temps or is that completely sorted out now?

And updates man! let's see the progress :D

  15. Hey Doormouse thanks for checking out my grow! This is actually a secondary thread. the main one is in the micro grow section and has been updates regularly. Temp issues are gone and she's doing wonderfully imo. Check it out and let me know what you think!

And old school smoker, you're such a smart ass, but that was hilarious...
