Ginkgo Biloba, does anyone else do it? It's called a smart drug and it's called a smart drug because after doing it a few days you actually get a bit smarter. It increases circulation, increasing the oxygen getting to your brain making you seems smarter. I read something this one guy wrote and "mental clarity" is the best description of it, you can think so clear and normal while being more focused. I can see if you were in college or university that this would be a gift from god. So who else uses it? how well does it work for you becasue it works like 10x better then what i thought with me.
I use it, I also take Boron, Huperzine-A, and L-Carnitine (All for Memory) Glucosamine - For my fucked up knee and Melatonin, cause I sleep during the day and work at night, which increases your risk for cancer because you don't produce melatonin as effectivly.
Well shit I'm trying this stuff if it helps you with studys. I'm in college. I need somthing to help relax me and clear my mind before reading/studing. This stuff can probally help. I here kava kava (in low/regualr doses) can be good to. --WIll
ya thats true-- but if you do it in low doses/the recomended dose its fine. They even sell it at the supplement store.
It's a herb or herb extract or whatever. You can just go get it at health food stores and stuff like that. I should look into getting some of this. I definately have trouble focusing, especially in classes.
Ginkgo Biloba can be bought at walgreens, I had to buy boron, huperzine-A, and L-Carnitine over the internet though.. Look for all the ginkgo biloba's and then go ask the pharmicist which one is the most potent.
It's gods (and herb suppliers) gift to stoners becasue we stoners need a brain boost sometimes. It makes you more up to do good work with ease when it's normally hard. If your awake and you read through your text book carefully then you'll retain like whever you read (unless it's like a bunch of chemical compounds or something). Nothing is better then to almost enjoy doing school work when you normally would be wasting time.
I have been usin this stuff ever since I started college. I take it along with my 1 a day vitamin and Echinacea which is for your immune system.
I take about 120mg daily - I 'think' it helps but its hard to say. You have to be carfull though as its a blood thinner you dont want to take it with other blood thinners.
Just as a heads up, the FDA doesn't regulate or test any of these herbal drugs(which means the content is uncontrolled!). The worst would be Ephedrine(Ehphedra and Ma Huang), but I think they phased that stuff out already. The one thing you should know about Ginkgo Biloba is that there's no evidence that it improves the memory of healthy people.
Check this out: "More than 34 human studies on ginkgo have been published since 1975, showing that ginkgo works by increasing blood flow throughout the body and brain. Ginkgo increases the productions of adenosine triphosphate (ATP, the universal energy molecule). It also improves the brain's ability to metabolize glucose, prevents platelet aggregation inside arterial walls by keeping them flexible, improves the transmission of nerve signals, and acts as a powerful antioxidant." from erowid.com So in reality it does help to improve memory
