  1. Hey so im doin a small ghetto grow and have a few questions. My dimensions are about 10'x12'x36' and i wanted to know would i get more bud from two smaller plants or on bigger one .
also what would be the most effective light cycle 12/12? Also right now i have 2 100w cfls will i need more light twords the end of growing? And also would using an electric air freshner in the box be a wise move to cover oder. Or are carbon scrubbers really worth it. Sorry for all the Qs ive looked for answears but im not shure -Peace

  2. i would say one plant would be best in that size enclosure.

12/12 is for the flowering period generaly started indors at about the 3rd to 5th node indoors. A good starting light schedule is 24/0 unless your doing a autoflowering strain (lowryder 1 & 2, Top 44, masterlow..... then its 18/6 all the way

I would say no to the airfreshner and invest in either a low odor strain (from what ive read, not sure) like northern lights, oasis, mazar, grapefruit.

    or try this http://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/7074-easy-build-diy-carbon-filter.html

  3. I assume you meant 10" x 12" x 36".

With 36" of headroom, I'd veg 24/0 or 20/4 for a couple of weeks at least.
Then switch to 12/12 using the right color of cfl's for flower.

that is not alot of room. I'd plant 2 or three seeds hoping for one female. after they show sex, just keep one female and you are golden.

you could probably get away with that much light for one plant, but more is better, especially during flower.

for that small of a box, i'd try to use something like those febreze wall plug in carbon filters. I hear they work acceptably.

    good luck.

  4. Well, if it were 10"x12"x36" that'd be a pretty damned big grow area and he'd be able to fit more than one or two plants there. I think one plant would produce a lot more bud than two depending on your lights. You say your lights are 100 watt CFLs, is that 100 watt equivalent or 100w?

  5. just so everyone is clear.

the standard notation for inches is " (double quotes) 1" = 1 inch

the standard notation for feet is ' (single quote) 1' = 1 foot

regardless, i think I knew what you meant.

    good luck.

  6. The dimensions you stated are rather small; less than one square foot and only like 2.5 cubic feet total. With such a small area, you won't be able to LST the plant much, and you have virtually no headroom to allow the plant to grow vertically. On paper, 36" may seem like a pretty good size, but you have to subtract the height of the container the plant is growing in, as well as the clearance you'll need for the lights.

Figure on around 8-12" for the pot, and another 8" or so for the lights, and you've already lost close to half of the vertical space for growing.

These are the dimensions of my box, and IMO it is too small.
