ok so i needed a cooltube and a vent system but i didnt have enough money for a blower. so i decided to build a makeshift. i purchased 2 of these fans and got a 4inch duct. my plan was to have one fan on the other end blowing in and another at the other end blowing out. would air flow be sufficeitn enough to reduce the heat to a safer degree?? or am i wasting my time and should get my ass a blower. as for the smell ive heard of pinesol and a small bucket with airstones work great.
no way of telling really, other then to hook them up turn them on and put your hand at the end and see how much air is flowing... generally if you have the same types of fans on both ends of a run it doesn't work as well.. need a stronger one pulling. give it a shot though, you never know...
