GH nutes

Yeah most nute companies tell u to ober feed,,means more $$$$$ for them,,start by using a 1/4 of what they say!!

If you read the charts correctly, they're not telling you to feed too much. Look at the ppms listed. You're supposed to mix at that ratio and water down. Why would nutrient companies purposely tell you to feed double strength nutes? Seems like a good way to kill all your customer's plants and receive a lot of complaints.

Yeah smoke outs right mate. They need nowhere near what the companies tell you.
Those of us that grow in reservoirs can see what the plants are actually absorbing very accurately.
Asuming theyre growing full tilt and as healthy as can be, plants can only absorb roughly 100ppm per week of veg starting from day 7.
They need nothing other than water the first 5-7 days.
So a 5 week old plant should need around 400ppm to keep it happy.
A 10 week veg plant would need closer to 1000ppm.
The most ive seen a plant actually manage to absorb from a mix is 1400ppm and she was fuckin enormous. I generally dont need more than 500 when growing in pots though.

 

Dont take this the wrong way mate but its because so many people have your atitude and are unaware theyre being completely ripped off.
You can see clear as day how much they feed when you grow hydro by watching the ppm level of the nutes.
Theres a few exceptions that should always be used as directed.
Bennies, bleachers, scillica, thats about it though. For everything else you gotta just start low and learn how to read it.
Cant force feed a plant. It will only absorb what it wants and the rest gets left behind.
If you give your plant a dry cycle then water to run off youll be able to see it in the run off on the ppm meter.
I probably use about 15% of what the company says over a full grow.
So for every £15 of nutes i use youd spend £100.
Again im not having a go at you mate. Just tying to save you some cash

 

That chart is for hydro. If using soil or coco ya bump it down to a quarter strength and work ur way up.

 

Coco is hydro mate. Use the same for coco as dwc, wilmas or whatever else.
In soil you feed higher because the nutes need time to break down. Hence the requirement of the wet dry cycles and the nutes-water-water-nutes feeding habbit.

 

I use the flora full line as per the chart at 30-60 percent

I used GH in dwc, lucas formula and never got over 600 ppm without my plant clawing got some clones in coco that are taking head formula at around 800ppm just fine. Thats with calmag and tap water. Start off light and watch the plant.

 

Its 5ml micro/10ml bloom per gal if you have a shitty low power light 8/16ml a gal if you good lights. What medium you in didnt see it mentioned.

 

Lucas formula doesnt use it, in soil id use the drain to waste chart from GH and start off light on the feeds.

 

No idea what to feed em. I use ocean forest and that shit will finish a grow if you topdress it fresh ocean forest.
