Getting some clones

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by stones1503, Oct 25, 2011.

  1. Hey guys I'm going to the dispense and going to grab a couple clones after I get a few things notched in, but I want to know what the proper lighting would be for about 10 clones

From last grow I have 1 150w hps and a 65 cfl but unsure if those are right for them.
    Any suggestions appreciated

  2. depends on a lot more info. young plants don't need as much light as older ones. I keep my clones under 65 W cfl's then switch to hps when they get older. It depends more on the size of your space than it does the number of plants. If your space is only a 2ft x 2ft space, 150 watts should be plenty. The larger the space the larger your light should be. I used to have a 2 x 3 space and I ran a 400 W hps. Now, I have upgraded to a 4 x 4 space. 600 w hps is the recommended size. I decided to overdo it with 1000W hps. More is usually better if you can figure out how to handle the heat.

  3. Very cool yea I used to keep all my clones under my 65 but never knew if it was enough, but that's good to know my closet is an awkward shape but it would roughly be about 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 feet both chambers are almost 3 feet tall as well
