So all my W2s came in and I hit up turbotax.com to get it all sorted out. Made a little bit more then I did last year and getting back about the same, maybe a bit more. Ive had plans for this money for some time. Im getting back a total of $1,318, minus $27.99 for the tax service. Booya! So awesome, I need this money pretty bad too. A few hundred is going into savings, getting some more RAM for my computer, taking my girlfriend out, but also buying a $600 camera lens that Ive been REALLY wanting. Dont need to buy any buds cause I got plenty already =] Who else here is getting a tax return and how much are you getting?
I made like 2800 bucks two years ago and got about $120 back. But last year I made 2600 and I didn't get anything back. In fact I had to pay the feds $12.00 and the state 6.00 so this year i'm just not gonna file. But I bet you'll get a couple hundred bucks back since you made more than me.
yea is there any way to figure out roughly how much you will be gettin backo or should i just go to h n r block n let them deal with it.
i didnt file last year,,,,,so i got 3 tax w2's this year,,, done filed them,,with kids, i make a lot of money,,,,, ...and the private guy that does mine,, is a fucking tax genious,,,, 7 grand,,,, i gots my eyes on a truck,,,, but paying the ol-ladys probation comes first...

3 grand,,,, but im not paying it off,,, just a little payment,,,, as long as shes on probation,,, i know the state will take her if i decide'' TO GET RID OF HER "' and dude theres so much involved with our systems taxes,, its impossible to tell the ammount till you add a lot of shit in.... im '' donating'' to a lot of things,, on my return,,, like i said i know a guy,,,,,
Different factors for everyone. I could make the same as you but have dependants and a monthly rent to pay and come out getting some money in return , while you just pay for your own expenses, no dependants (as an example) and you end up in debt to them.
Wow guys So stoked! So I am all excited about my tax return coming in by the 11th all happy and shit, then today, I get a letter in the mail for my college. I go to a very inexpensive community college in CA, and since I only made about 16k in 2009 I get financial aid from the state as well as the fed government, FAFSA. The state ended up paying ALL my tuition costs and I only needed one book this semester, and I rented it for $22. Well that letter I got today was my FAFSA left over money after tuition paid, and its addressed to me for $554! I looked online and this is the "reimbursement" and is mine to do with as I please. Fuckin' score, eh? And to those who dont know, when you get a job you fill out a a form called an I-9 that asks you about any dependants, withholding options, etc. How you fill this out will be a big factor in determining how much money is taken out of your paycheck each month for taxes, and how much you will get back, or, owe at the end of the year. And chicken dude, you got it made what do you do for a living, if I may ask? I need to get hooked up with a tax guy like that once I start bank rolling
I wish I got a refund . I'm not paying my taxes until April 14th but I pay estimated taxes quarterly so it won't be too bad.
