I bought G pen elite (similar to pax 2 which is more popular) about a week ago. i have tried it a few times and never really got that high. I mean I get high, but it's kind of high when you smoke midgrade weed without the carcinogen buzz. I have so far only tried vaping hash, .4 of that in a joint gets me pretty good high but vaporizing it about half as high. Vaporizer produces nice vapor and i puffed .4 at least 10 minutes so nothing seems to be wrong with the unit itself. Can I get extremely high with a vaporizer if I continue using it and drop off the smoking or will it always be like this? Share your experiences and knowledge guys! btw 1st post!
I'm not a fan of vapes. I've tried several different brands and styles, still do whenever a buddy buys 1. They just don't do it for me. I think some of it for me anyways is that a vape lessens the smell and taste of good burning bud. Alot of getting high is mental. Without that taste and smell some of the euphoria is gone. Which in turn makes the high feel less to me
vaporizing equals about 95% efficiency and smoking up to 30%. you will need a hot ass vaporizer to compete with the body high of smoking to make any type of permanent transition and the transition takes a while. older smokers gravitate to vaporizers as their lungs guide them... try dried herb in a hot vaporizer to really benefit from the terpene profile offered from a particular strain when you can slow release those terpenes to absorb more efficiently.
If you get a chance go to your local casino and watch the q-tips walk in with their little green tank following behind them. While doing this light up a blunt. You want to make sure you don't miss any of those carcinogenic particles. This could be your future. I'm 72 years old, and the one thing I wish I could change about my life is to never have smoked. I started vaping six years ago and have never looked back nor smoked since. Do yourself a big favor, a life saving favor QUIT SMOKING. If you are going to consume herb then vape. You can't just switch and expect results you want. You have to get that crap out of your lungs so the vapor can reach your bloodstream. It takes a little time to clean out your lungs. Ever noticed that the few old smokers you see, can't walk fast nor far. I'm not the most fit person, but I can probably outlast you. Let's hear from all you smokers. Vaping is really a new concept and there hasn't been that much time and research on them. I love vaping and will continue to do it. Life is short, if you enjoy it keep doing it, if you don't and have worries then don't do it
look up a hot coal vaporizer. it is hundreds years old and uses the bed of coals from a fire placed on the top of the pipe and you pull the heated hot coals air through to vaporize the herb...
The only type of vaping I do is from my dab rig. I have tried a few different pens and rectangle shaped pens or whatever and only 1 that I hit off of that was even close to what I like from my dabbing experience. I also always hear guys that own pens are always fixing or replacing elements. I have pretty much stopped smoking herb altogether, I just do a few dabs from one of my rigs and good to go for a few hours. are you retaining terpenes and sensitive volatile compounds so as to be benefiting from those terpene profiles with dabs? the biggest benefit to vaping cured smelly herb is terpene delivery and flavor chasing...
Thanks for answers guys! I put my mind into it and started a tolerance break and currently going at day 3. Tomorrow I'm gonna fire up the vaporizer! I really wanna switch into vaping and am going to only stick into vaping for about a week or two and after that I decide if I'm about dat vap3 lyfe! Let's see how it goes =)
If u guys wanna know how it went, I can post here some updates. Just in case someone has the same situation with the vaporizers, so they'd know if this tolerance break worked for me.

First day after tolerance break I vaped about .6 and got pretty high. Not stoned, just high. I was weak and smoked a joint at the end of the night. It really got me stoned and I have to say I enjoy smoke high more than vape high. I'm gonna continue this vaporizing but it's really hard to not smoke joints. After vaporizing i feel like something is missing (Yeah, the carcinogens). I also feel like i I have to vape more than smoke to get high. .5 joint gets me there but .5 vape not really. You have to try dabbing with a oil rig it takes alot less and gets you way more STONED then a joint. Again with a rig you can do low temp dabs to benefit from the terpines but you can also do a dab or a few dabs a Lil hotter and get that stoned feeling you are looking for. Be cautious first few times it has knocked people out before start off small and go from there. I would really recommend looking into dabs with a rig.
