Getting Close To Veg (Any Tips?)

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by GokuSmokesDank, Apr 23, 2021.

  1. Hey y’all, I’m doing my first grow since like 2017 and it ended with my 9 week old outdoor plant dying mostly due to bugs and mistakes by me handling them. Now I am doing an budget indoor grow with some lights a friend gave me, and doing it in a small closet. My temp stays around 75F-82F and my humidity fluctuates around 35 RH - 50 RH. I just don’t have much funds right now for a humidifier so I just try to place a steaming bowl of water in for a bit and it help a little. I am doing a 18-6 light schedule currently and am using fox farm ocean forest with a little bit of Great White Mychorrizae mixed in the soil. I’d just like to know of any tips going into veg and if my plants are looking completely healthy and I’m not fumbling this again lol. All help is much appreciated!

  2. Welcome back to growing. A free light is a good thing. Your humidity levels are acceptable. There is a lot of discussion regarding the optimum humidity. There is a sweet spot. The reality is that pot grows in airid regins and areas of higher humidity. I'm in Colorado, dry air, and have grown crops at 20-35% with no problems. I don't advise spending on a piece of equipment you really don't need. Save your money, you may need it for an exhaust fan and filter.
Your little plants look good at this time. Keep us posted.
