Getting caught toking by parents

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Budyyy, Dec 3, 2012.

  1. A few months ago my mom walks in at 1:00am and catches my blowing smoke out the window..Not even a knock. She says

    ''are you smoking in here?!''
''No, of course mom, I'm masturbating.. so go away''
    ''No i smell smoke..''
''Yeah it's a joint.. and you know what whatever. I'm an adult, i work and go to school full time. So whatever right?''
''why are you smoking in my house.. i mean you shouldnt be smoking it to begin with.. get outside''
''I'm done.. feelin toasty'' then i give her a huge grin

For the rest of the week she hadn't mentioned it except for a few passing remarks about all my clothes has a permanent smoky smell (it doesn't). Today she mentioned that walking the dogs instead of toking in my room would be a good idea.. That night i finished walking one dog and i walk in the house pretty stoned.. i say high to my parents, grab my other-dog and walk it. This has been a routine 3x a week for the past few months,, They've never explicitly mentioned pot or pot smoking, but they always vaguely reference it in some way..

So yeah..that's the story of when i first got caught toking.. My ara ''good Catholics'' doen't drink often, never smoked or anything.. even coffee but only rarely. I figured if i got caught I would have been kicked out, but instead im more/less free to smoke..

So yeah kids.. getting caught probably wont be the end of the world. Hell it might even make things better.

    INB4: tl;dr

  2. Ive been caught before. Not much was said and it hasnt been mentioned since. I just keep it out of sight and dont go around my parents when im high.

  3. It just sounds like you have really pushover parents.

  4. I feel like life became a bit easier after I was caught by my parents. 1. I didn't have to hide and after teaching them a lot about cannabis, presenting facts and studies, and showing comparisons, they even gave me back my bubbler and 2 grams of Sour Diesel they had originally taken.

  5. Your lucky. My parents and sisters won't even listen to me when I try to tell them the benefits and facts. They Pot Nazis

  6. Their house man, bit too much attitude there.

Doesn't matter what you do to validate your habit, but being all like "I work and study so your take on the matter doesn't mean shit to me" is out of line.
Like what, you do what a normal person does in society and...?
    Still their place innit?

I mean you wouldn't be so smug or able to afford weed if they turfed you out on your own right?
Try to be a little more respectful while you continue to not count your blessings.

  7. I've been caught a several times while smoking for the smell but never red-handed thoughh. Parents have caught my plant, my stash, my hashish, my bong pipes that they think it is hookah (thank god!) and my chillum pipe which I had before as well! It was frustrating at first to talk to them and get them to understand I can't quit lol but now they're kinda used to the occasionally bud scent around the house.

  8. I got caught just the other night my sploof wasn't very sploofy. My parents are conservatives and think weed was created by the devil and they flip out that I smoke it because its "illegal" but it doesn't matter if I'm 18 21 or 75 getting caught with it has the same punishment. I guess I gotta stick to hot boxing my friends room every other night.

  9. I don't think your parents are going to catch you at 75.
What's this punishment you speak of then?

  10. I've gotten caught by my mom more times than I can count. It's not that I leave it in plain sight, she just likes to snoop around in my room, car, etc. All I've said to her about the topic is that if she looks for something, she'll find it. So why keep looking?

  11. I'm talking about getting caught by police.

  12. Well yeah, getting caught isn't a punishment.
I reckon there would also be a range of penalties, not just one.
...I also think if you were caught at 75, you'd likely incur a lesser penalty.

  13. Probably but their whole problem with it is that it's illegal.

  14. When I got caught it was a huge deal. I was 15 at the time though. I continued to smoke however... eventually they said "we don't care if you do it, just go outside" they didn't want me to expose my younger siblings to drugs early.

Just go outside man, whats the big deal. I know toking inside is better and what not but its the same end result.

  15. That IS some bullshit.

Yea and they bitch wether I do it inside or out I can't wait to get this job and get money for my own place ill be toking every second I'm not working.

  17. When I got caught it was MASSIVE deal, I was 15-16 at the time too.
Now, I'm 22, have lived away from home for nearly 4 years and have built a successful business. I went back home a few months ago, don't get me wrong I have a great relationship with my parents, but you gotta understand there's a generational gap there and they perceive 'drugs' in a completely different way.

First day I arrived I rolled a blunt on the patio and smoked it in front of them, while smoking I laid out some hard scientific facts about marijuana and showed them a really awesome article (i think it was on dailybeast) about the benefits of the plant.

Since then, my dad's never said anything about it and my mom has tried toking herself for a migraine, she said it worked wonders ;)

I guess what I'm saying is, if you're a responsible adult who can take care of himself and you have somewhat reasonable folks (which it sounds like you do) you can definitely change their mindset with a little effort.
