Hey guys, Ive been browsing this site for a long time now, and finally just got around to making an account. Ok a bit of background, I was always a skinny guy growing up, in good shape, athletic, but skinny. So about a year ago I got into the gym on a regular basis. Im a biology minor in university so I know all about how the human body works, and I did lots of reading on the internet about exercises, weightlifting and nutrition. I went from 5'11 150 pounds to 163 at my peak and gained a lot of strength. So this summer I kinda lost my consistency, worked out here and there but nothing regular. I was working a lot(2 jobs) and partying whenever I wasn't working. Borderline alcoholic I was drinking an average of 3 times a week and not eating nearly as much. Started losing weight and then about mid august I fractured my tibia, its basically the skinbone that connects your leg to your foot. Just took a bad fall at a cottage all wasted. So that pretty much ended my summer. I was in a cast and crutches for what seemed like forever, now the bone is all healed good and I have been walking for about a week. But my foot is still really stiff, I walk with a limp and have to take it easy on it. I do physio exercises every day, and have been seeing improvement almost daily. And Im now the skinniest I think Ive ever been. Im down to 148 pounds, I just weighed myself yesterday. Thats 15 pounds lost since may...I want to get it back. I wasnt eating much when I was hurt, mostly because it was so hard to prepare food by myself on crutches. So basically I want to get back into working out but my foot is gonna hold me back a lot. I have a crappy gym at my hotel job that I can use for free, but its really basic and doesnt have close to everything my old gym I used to go to had. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you get back into it, any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. I obviously cant do certain exercises like squats and deadlifts yet, Im trying to come up with a routine that would hit as many body parts as possible without putting a strain on my leg. I have to go out now but I will check this thread when I get home later today. Thanks in advance
