ok, i already have 4 white rhino plants going into the flowering phase, but i MIGHT be getting a super skunk #2 clone this coming week from a friend who made too many clippings, most of my lights are being used for the rhinos, my question is, can i get by with 3 40 watt cfl's for a single plant if i put it into flowering right away to keep it small?
usually its recommended about 100watts of hid lights or more per plant and for cfls they are about half as strong as hids. so you would need about 200watts of cfl per plant or more. for the beginning it should be fine but once they get bigger you will want more lights for the sides. cfls are touchy.. a few inches too far away and they start stretching bad and too close and they burn plants.
if you are flowering it from clone then the plants are small so the 3 40watt cfl should do fine for 1 plant but you know "the more light the better "
