hey guys.... ok ive read up on germination and ive tried germineted some descent looking bag seed on 3 occasions with a few seeds each time... i used the paper towle method and i havent had any luck... im trying it agin and put 5 seeds in a bowl of water and they all sank ... if i let them sit in the water for a while will a root pop or should i put them in the paper towels and try it again?... my friend let me borrow a heating pad i havent tried it but will it help?..... all replies appreciated...
the easiest way to germinate. grab your seeds. get some paper towel. find your self a lil tiny rubbermaid or something that has a lid on it. put your seeds on the towel. fold the towel up in the housing that will help germ your seeds. put that same container away from any source of heat that will dry your towel. twice a day open the container and moisten your towel. dont soak the seeds in water till the tap root appears. not good. within 3-5 days, depending on how viable your seed selection is, you will have tap roots. dont try to make something so simple an overbearing task p.s. if your previous paper towel method did not work, its because you allowed the paper to dry. put it in the container, oh yeah did i forget to mentioned to wet the towel for the first time?
yeah speaking on that, what is your ambient temp? you need to be atleast room temp, if not a slight bit warmer
