I started germinating a seed 24hrs ago. Butit did not show any change. I pushed it down to see if it would sink and it did. Should I keep it germinating or is it ready? This was the cup of water method
I wait for root to show before planting, the seed doesn't always sink, the last one I germinated was still floating even though root had started sprouting.
Hopping in.. I use the same method.. I've had some take as little as a day and a half and others two to three days.. As long as I see a little white root breaking through a bit I usually plant it.. I like to know it will be able to break through the tough exterior before planting it..
I disagree with any method of germination using tissue / water wtf lol - if you buy good seed my recommendation 125watt cfl veg light - electric propogator - your seeds , your pots with best quality mix ready- plant seeds 1/4 inch down in your nice mix bat special my fave lol leave light on watch ad wait 48hrs they coming through soil no tissue no f ing around loll
and i mean - sorry but if you bought good seed - what better than warm soil light (18) hrs who needs tissue lol? - even when i used to grow 10 bought seed i'd just put them straight in my 5 gallon cotainers pre mixed (because u know seed is not bag seed) - then no need re planting less mess etc i planted 10 under a 400 watt hps 4 ft away and guess what 10 grew lol - let nature do it thing lol - all this about having seeds in dark and tissue etc is bs - they are in the dark in soil !!! durr!! and the like warmth and - LIGHT - imho lol !!!
