Hey I just wanted to share a recent experience of mine. This advice is for new growers. Everywhere they say germination takes 2-4 days, sometimes a week and that after that it is likely they won't germinate. (at least most things I've read) I just wanted to say to everyone to hang in there. Old seeds might take longer. I just germinated some and the ones that didn't pop, I left in the paper towel and have monitored them daily, keeping them moist and I've had one or two germinate after 3 weeks! Hang in there and don't give up on your seeds right away!
although you are correct in saying to be patient.... 3 weeks is the amount of veg time my plants generally recieve waiting 3 weeks just for a seed to pop is pointless. anything longer than 4-5 days is a waste of time under optimal conditions, my seeds generally pop after 24 hours. and i don't use paper towel, just place right into the medium
Well it was probably closer to two weeks. Also, along with old I should have said bag seed as well. It was only intended for new growers or even ppl who have trouble attaining seeds therefor need every one to count. You're also probably using bought seeds. Indeed you will have 100% germ and short spans likely.
I've only ever harvested bag seed. And the fact that it's bagseed should be more reason not to wait. Just sow more seeds. Just sayin Also, if a seed is viable and healthy it will pop within 2-3 days
I had a strawberry cough freebie that didn't sprout for 10 days. I had put the pot next to my trash can for disposal and a few days later saw the sprout sticking up. Turned out to be one of the best tasting strains I've ever had, next order I bought all berry strains lol, check out my sig
If the seed doesn't pop in 5 days, drop it in a glass of water and check up on it daily. Give it 5-10 days and if it hasn't popped, dat shit ain't gonna pop.
If ya spend 50$ on 5 seeds imma wait 4 months if I have too I'm a noob so you don't have to listen to me.
I like to make a male plant and a female plant live in the same room for a grow....than those buggers make tons of seeds for me so I pop a whole bunch at one time...some just get tossed away
