ok im germinating 2 seeds in between 2 damp paper towels, and i know the seeds are good becuase i did the cup of water thing and they sunk to the bottom, anyways, the paper towels and seeds are selaed in a ziplock bag to keep humidity in, how long should it be before they sprout, and then, once i put them in moist dirt, should i put them in the sun right away orrr...?
A germination sticky will tell you what you need but: Usually they will take 1-4 days to break open and youll see the little root coming out. Get your pots and soil ready by filling your pots to the brim, and watering it. Put a hole in the center of the soil about 1/2 inch deep. plant the seed root facing down for best results. I dont usually put it under the light until theyve sprouted, but some people do. Alot of people say the light will dry out your soil and and your plant doesnt need the light until its first leaves appear anyway.
ok well i just learned that i have no cash for about 3-4 years and coincendtaly no one will hire me anywhere, so i gotta grow and sell...but i have absolutely no cash for lihts and what not and its going to be winter soon...so i need to know if sunlight will do the trick through my window?
Nah, window light proly wont be enough, not to mention the plant counts on the sun at certian times of the year to do certian things, the winter time isnt the time to start when relying on the sun. Shop lights are easy to obtain
http://www.htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=208 Thats a complete lighting system. All you need now is to get some soil and nutrients. And a pH test kit. They sell nutrients there also: http://www.htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=262
