Germinating with air stone

    Anyone ever try this? Best germination method ive used so far. Beans open under 24 hours and start to sprout faster. And imo tends to have a better germination rate. I decided to try this out just out of curiosity but with a scientific-ish approach. I used 3 seeds for towel method, 3 seeds dunk/soak method and 3 seeds with airstone. All same water supply, same temp and same light. The towel method took 30 hours to open 3/3. The dunk/soak method took 33 hours to open 3/3. The air stone method took 25 hours + started sprouting cotyledons already due to oxygen supply 3/3. I will update throughout the grow to see if there is any downside/benefit to the methods.     with respect all that tells you is you need to TDS your water or better try RO

    I dont know man i could see where a seed in bubbling water would sprout the fastest/healthiest. I will always be partial to the paper towel method though. I like to do a lot of strains and its the easiest way to keep them organized and ive never had an issue with it.

    Ppm is at 63. ph 6.2. Temp 74°. Rh 62-67%. Everything is fairly structured and constant throughout. Today everything seems pretty good, all plants have started to form their first true leaves on day 2. Air stone method seedlings seem to have a stretch to them though, not sure what the deal is on that, looks like light stretch. Light is 6" from seedlings, will monitor.

    imo check the kelvin of the light warm red led bulb will stimulate the vertical/auxins? hormones
    making stretch cool white will go opposite

    Dude its days 2, your overthinking it. If you had started a few hundred seeds each way, you might have something to compare scientifically but im guessing you started at most a few of each?

    You dont need hundreds of seeds for control groups. You can do it with 5 of each 10 of each or even 1 of each. Thats pretty basic. I rather trust my education and experience than a stranger on a forum. Thanks though.

    Nah man way to much variation with seeds. Large control groups.
