Germinating Seeds Turn Paper Towel Red

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Alpha_Male, Nov 22, 2009.

  1. Ok so I started to germinate a few seeds and noticed that 2 of the seeds, bag seed, have a redish residue around them. One is more noticeable than the other. The more noticeable one seems to have opened up but I have never seen this before. Here are a couple of pictures and the process being used. Any Ideas??

    • Paper Towel Method in Baggy
    • Distilled Water
    • 2nd Day Of Germination
Sorry the pics aren't that great I was using my blackberry.

  2. They probably have something on them or that residue came from whatever the person was feeding the plant. Don't worry death will come swiftly.
