Bob has tried 3 times with 3 seed each times and different strains. Bob tried planting them normally, germinating in water, kitchen roll and also wet tissue on a dish put in a baggie each bob tried for 3-5 days
Has bob tried to put distilled water on a paper towel to where it is damp and covered it and put it into a tupperware, sealed it, and put it somewhere where humid?
ahaaa thanks bob will try that can bob use distilled water from the hospital ? it comes in bottle to clean out wounds or can i make it ?
Ok since we already have a thread about germinating seeds id thought Id throw another question out there lol. After germinating and planting the seed, I've read its a good idea to cover the pot with seran wrap until it sprouts. Anyone able to verify this? I wasnt sure if it would deprive the seed of oxygen or anything and stunt its growth. Or is it better to leave it uncovered and then just mist the soil every so often to keep it slightly moist?
Yes it is a good idea to cover it with plastic wrap. during this stage you really don't want to water the seed until it has established its roots so the plastic wrap helps keep the moisture in. I dont think lack of oxygen will be an issue because with drain holes in the bottom of the pot prevent the setup from being completely airtight.
doesnt matter..u can do w.e u want..i rarely put wrap over my girls..all it does it keep in moisture..i mean its not bad but it really doesnt matter if u do that or not..all i do is just pop a seed ina shot glass, wait for it to sprout and put it in soil..always works for me
