I will be germinating and planting my NL Auto seed soon but was wondering if I should first try successfully sprouting bagseed/random seed first. I've germinated seeds as practice but I've never attempted to grow them. So should itry and sprout a couple seeds before planting my Auto? Also, with the practice seed not being an auto, would that allow me to practice identically to what i should be doing with my Auto? Thanks!
Question for you, have you grown anything before? If not then I would gowith the bag seed. As a noobie myself this is the route that I went. The seeds are free andtrust me you will make mistakes it's a noobie thing lol but the investment isnil with the bag seed. Here is what I did put 17 seeds using the paper towel method in a small tuber ware container sat onmy coffee machine For a couple of days and bang 7 out 17 started showing the tap roots. Myfirst mistake I let the tap root get to long before I buried it. But guess whatthey are still hanging in there. I have heard that bag seed can surprise you sometimes.
If nervous about germinating and needing to move it, you could always keep it simple and just put the seed about 1/4" in the soil. The whole concept of germinating outside of soil is crazy to me /shrug. Maybe if seed into dirt ever fails me I'll understand why it needs to be overly complicated but until then I'll keep putting my seeds straight into dirt.
