Hello everyone, I wanted to start a thread in the organic grow section for several reasons the biggest being because organics is just awesome :D

    My setup is:
    50 watts flouro+t5's for starting seedling/veging
400 watt hps + 48 watts of t5 for the rest of veg and flower
    poly'd room
1 oscillating fan with 2 stand still fans
    ending in 5gallon pots
    1 air conditioner
    1 dehumidifier
    1 heater
Almost forgot to add the strain - critical kush from barneys farm

    My soil mix consists of:

    %'s are rough
    Peatmoss -40%
    Ewc - 30%
    Perlite - 20%
premier nature mix vegetable garden and herb soil (a attempt to gain some mycorrhizae in soil)-10%

Gaia Green organix ammendment mix - alfalfa meal, bone meal, blood meal, glacial rock dust, mined potassium sulphate, fossilised carbon complex, rock phosphate, greensand, kelp meal, and gypsum.

applied at 3 tbsp/Galllon of soil

So Here are my girls 1 month 12 days old from seed, straight water. I have givin them 1 tea made with ewc and a lil molasses

  2. I think after this grow, I wont be doing anything but organic

  3. I'm impressed, Geno, your young plants look really good. Such a lush, beautiful green. I'll be followin' along, for sure. ;)

  4. Hey Genocide,

Nice start! Clean, green, and happy. :hello:

Welcome to the world of organics.

    See ya...

  5. Thanks guys

I am totaly loving organic so far :D

wtf was I doing using synthetic chemicals that cost 10 bucks a litre jesus

  6. they grow almost half inch vertically per night right now with lots of side growth

    they smell absolutely awesome :D

  7. Looks really, really nice man.

    Good job

  8. There is a slight purpling on the main stems etc that I think is not natural, so I went ahead and foliar spray'd with epsom salt and poured about a cup of water into each pot aswell had 1-tsp/gallon epsom salts in water

  9. spraying with epson works best. Mg (epsom) is not easily mobile, so if it is applied as a soil drench it takes a lot longer to work than foliar application.

Generally speaking, 1 tablespoon per gallon of warm water (helps to dissolve the crystals).

I don't see any evidence of a Mg deficiency - usually look like rust spots on the leafs.

The purpling stems go to either Nitrogen deficiency or temperature or both.

  10. Gave the girls one foamy tea this morning :)

is it normal for the tea to have alot of crap floating in it, I imagine this is bacteria growth, made sure to smell the tea to check for bad odor, it smelled nice and earthy

  11. If it smells good you are in good shape.

  12. sweet cuz there was tons of floaty shit in the water and lots of foam, smelt very earthy ,

  13. That's how I describe the smell of my teas, earthy. I'm sure you did it right. Can't wait to see more pics, Geno, your plants are lookin' so pretty! :smoke:

  14. So I took some new pictures this mornig, I have 2 threads for this grow going now so its a pain to update lol but well worth any input from you guys.

these babys r 45 or 46 days from seed roughly, and damn I am loving critical kush so far lol

I am wondering for flowering whats going to happen as my ammendment mix is rated 4-4-4 will they not be looking for more phosphorus? I am not going to add anything other then my regular tea once n a while aswell as some foliar spraying of kelp extract befor buds start to form.

the pictures dont do them justice, they are so beautiful...I am hooked on organic

Thought I would show the last one is my mutant bagseed,She has already shown female sex. instead of 2 parallel nodes, it has 3...and is doing 3 on the next set... I am expecting a hermi

  15. nice going, I have the same thing going with my plants, after years of growing with bottles I still imagine the plants will need more P during flower, and my current soil mix does not include the typical P amendments, no guano, bone meals, or rock phosphorous. I am somewhat expecting lower flower set with these plants. However from what I understand when it comes to P it's about availabilty to the plant, not quantity in the soil... I am counting on the small amount in the soil and the soluble P in compost probably

  16. I hope it will do the trick, if at 3 weeks in they are looking rough I may get some 2-8-4 organic amendment mix and work it in

  17. So I have acquired a blue widow already over a month old and grown with chemicals so far, can I convert her to organic?

  18. You'll have to ask a rabbi :D

  19. I don't see why not. Just rinse as much of the old soil off the roots as possible as you transplant it into your own soil mix. Maybe look into brewing a tea with ingredients that would promote healthy root development and water it with that, then leave it be for awhile. Was it grown indoors, or outdoors? You don't want to bring in an unknown infestation, so be sure to prepare for that as well.

Yo, y'all, if I'm giving this guy, or anyone for that matter, bad advice, please do not hesitate to speak up. I'm still a learnin', too. ;)
