Genetic mutation causing one cotyledon leaf to take on true leaf characteristics...?

  1. Curious if anyone else has had this but I'm assuming it's some sort of a mutation. Just did a breeding project bring the strain Marley collie and crossing it with all my strains during the winter here in socal and as I'm growing a few of the unstabilized seeds I had one pop with one regular cotyledon leaf and one true leaf. Shouldn't be a problem or anything to worry about as the plant looks healthy as can be. Just been growing for a few years and have never encountered this myself. Anyways the mom is a pheno of gdp I've been growing for years and the make was from some Marley collies seeds I got last year from a friend. Really liked the structure and decided to give it a go and try to keep the tall sensi structure and possibly give the buds a bit more density

  2. I have a Master Kush pheno that grew full fan leaves from the get go, so not that weird and the plants are more than healthy once they grow up but I wouldn't breed it back into the gene pool if your looking to stabilize the strain.

  3. Shit happens. I have one outside that decided to grow a node from the cotlydon.

  4. Ya just curious. Not really tripping too hard on it was just curious if it's like a common thing cuz I've never seen it personally but yea doubt this will be the gal I use if I decide to stabilize it. Thanks for the input..
