Okay, forgive my complete n00bosity... I tried searching for answers to this, but I'm still confused. Pre-flowers. I'm growing two feminized blue cheese. They have been vegging for a little over three weeks. I'm pretty sure I see pre-flowers now (little spikes/pistils at the joints between branches and stems, no balls that I can see). Now in the past day or so, on the top of one of the plants, a bunch of little spikes have shot up that are much lighter in color than the surrounding leaves. Is this the tippy-top of the plant?
typically you don't see pre-flowers until between 4-6 weeks (with seeds; with clones its a non issue), but since you are growing feminized seeds I am not sure what your concern is....you can give a 24 hour dark period (this will force them to flower quicker once you flipped the lights to 12/12) and then flip them to a 12/12 flowering schedule. the plants will double/triple in size during flowering, so if you are trying to keep your grow to your closet space then its a matter of vegging them until you've reached the desired hight...
