General Hydroponics FloraMicro

  1. high all, Ive got 10 plants in veg state, about a foot tall, and I have some General Hydroponics FloraMicro fertilizer, I was wondering if I can use just that for nutes in my hydro system? npk = 5-0-1 if that helps any.

  2. That is the supplement to the flora series and yes you use it in conjunction with your other nutes. Check out there feed chart to get a proper ratio, just don't try to reach the max go for the low end. As your growing in hydro, are you using a TDS meter?

  3. right now unfortunatly I have no meters, but the plants are extremly healthy, I am currently using Rockwool Magic Grow A & B ferts, A is 2-0-2 and part B is 1-1-3. was just wondering if this Flora Micro 5-0-1 is of any use to me, I found it with a bunch of plant food under my sink.

  4. use it as an amendment to the other nutes. it probly has micros where the others do not.

  5. if I were to mix this with my current nutes, how strong should I mix it? right now I have to use 1/2 cup of part A and part B of my current nutes to fill my res bucket (4 teaspoons per gallon)

Right now my plants are showing signs of mild magnesium deficiency and mild zinc deficiency

It's possible it is caused from pH lockout, but as of right now I have 0 money to go out and spend on ph up/down and a tester, but my last grow I had no problems with pH, never had to mess with it, Yes I know as a hydro grower pH is one of the most important things to check but I am limited on money as I just got fired from my job.

Pretty much I'm wondering if this FloraMicro solution would help the deficiencys I am currently facing, They arent bad yet, but are showing the first signs.

also I am having a problem with mold growing on my rockwool cubes and they hydroton balls im using, Is there anything around the house I could safely use on the rockwool cubes (both the tops and the bottoms where the roots are) and if not is there a decent spray I can go buy at a garden/hydro store that would be safe to use on my plants in Veg?

I appreciate all the input, thanks in advance. "

    Pics to come soon.

  6. dude you need to post picts, but to take care of a mg or zinc defficency get some epsom salts. For the mold/mildew you need to keep the light off your rockwool. Good luck, cause in my opinion your really going to need it.

  7. ty My friend who thinks he knows everything, but I dont really need luck, I'm a pretty experienced grower, I just quit for a few years because of problems with the girl. If the problem with the mold is from the light, then explain how the bottoms of the cubes (which are covered completely by my growing medium) and have no light what so ever also have mold on them? Yes I know the good ol' epsom salt for zinc and mag def. but I have none on hand, and I have 0 money to my name at the moment, yes I know its like 99 cents for a bag of it, but I just spent my last dollar in quarters on laundry, You completely missed the point of the post, and I will explain it in less detail for you to understand completely:

Will the General Hydroponics FloraMicro Nutes benifit my plants any, or should I continue to use my Rockwool Magic?

I'm not trying to be an ass, I just dont appreciate it when people think they know everything and I know nothing. I've spent hours upon hours of reading everything i could get my hands on in these forums.

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get my digital cam back. right now they are about a month old and a little over a foot tall, I'm using 4 floro tubes right now, trying to get money together for an HPS system, my hydro system is home made, flood and drain system, works great, got very good results using this system last time, 8 plants, 3 feet tall, and 32 ounces dry of the best bud I've ever smoked in my life, in less then 3 months from clone to bud, which in my opinion is very good for a first grow.

Anyway thanks to those of you who acutally give positive and usefull information.

    happy smoking :smoking:
